Social Worker | Darwin, NT
An Aboriginal community-controlled organisation in Maningrida, NT is seeking an experienced Therapeutic Youth & Family Coordinator to support young people and families through culturally safe, trauma-informed and strengths-based practice.
This role focuses on youth diversion, therapeutic family support, early intervention and restorative practice, working closely with young people, families, Elders, Child & Family services, schools and community stakeholders.
About You:
- A qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work, Human Services or a related field
- Experience supporting vulnerable young people and families
- Strong trauma-informed and strengths-based practice
- Knowledge of youth justice, diversion or early intervention
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote community
- Current driver's licence and relevant clearances
